Still Hooping

Wow! Ok, since Jan. 8th I have lost inches from hula hooping! I went from a size 37.5 to 35.5! This is measured around my hips and all around my poochy flabby ab hanging over my c-section cut. It is so great to see something happening! Hooray!!

Trying something new!

Yes, the hula hoop! I haven’t done it long enough to see results yet, after all it has only been two days. Anyway, it really kicks butt! I can feel it in my lower back, hips, waist, thighs, and my lower abs. Well, slightly in my lower abs because it is really covered with extra cushion!

It is fun and easy, once you remember how! LOL! What got me started is my sister. She bought a weighted, padded hoop! Spent $55.00. Crazy! So, I did my research. When they say weighted they mean an adult size hoop made for you! Just a bigger hoop you buy at a fitness store and not a kid’s toy hoop. The lbs really don’t matter because, it isn’t needed to loose faster or more. It is the movement of keeping the hoop up and going. The smaller the hoop, the more you move to keep it up. The bigger hoop makes you use slower movements but you can go longer. If, they bruise you… something is wrong. There is no reason for that if you have the right one. Either way, spend less, get a hoop you are comfortable with, and be a kid! My daughter laughed so hard at first but now we race to see who will last the longest. (She has a toy hoop. F.Y.I Our hoops can actually hurt them since they are still growing). That is what excercise should be about….FUN!

My goal is to firm the lower abs above my C-section. (Current inches…37.5) Wish me luck! I will keep you posted!

Trying something new.

I have already burned 30 lbs from the last time I went on a diet.  I was 167 then. That was from about 4 years ago, and have kept it off. Now, I am back hoping to finish what I have started. I still have a stubborn 22 lbs to go. I am thinking about starting weight watchers again just to refresh my memory on proper eating habits. I haven’t been able to loose anything by excercise alone. This time I need a little extra push. I need support. I have found myself falling back into my old routines.

My boyfriend is coming back to the states soon and I want to look healthier and feel more active.  I hope I can pull this off. I would love to meet you and team up for encouragement. If you read this…drop me a line. Love to hear from you.
